Gimme a Head with Hair

Hello everyone, and welcome to this Sunday's discussion post! I still have not seen Captain Marvel due to a stupid back injury (hoping it will be healed by next weekend) but I do want to talk about the new trailer for Avengers: Endgame that snickfic shared earlier this week - specifically, what is up with Clint's hair? Why does Natasha have 10 different styles? Which one do you like best?

Also, NEBULA!!! Not her hair, obviously, just her being in the trailer. Which is awesome in itself.

I absolutely adore Natasha's braid with the red roots and the white tips. I just love French braids as a style to begin with, and it's so practical for Natasha! I also have not been down with her white-blonde look, so I am just a very happy camper in general.

I expect every single scene with Nebula to be my favorite scene.

Same, I've found it the most unflattering look she's had in this universe - which is odd because Scarlett Johansson looks good as a blond. Just not that shade of blonde.

I am HERE to see Nat's horrid blond look gone. The fact that she got her eyebrows bleached made it even more terrible. :|

What I liked best was seeing Clint and Nat bonding. Mainly because I hadn't seen them be that close circa the beginning of AoU (or, pretty much up to the scene after Clint's getting some skin created on his body in Dr. Cho's lab). TBH, I am still ??? at the surprise!Clint family reveal. Especially since TPTB tried to 'soften the blow' by having Nat be aware of their existence the whole time.

So, yeah, I was a bit shook by how much seeing Nat and Clint comfort each other in the Endgame trailer.

NGL, I also dug the SLO-MO WALK OF JUSTICE with Steve at the front. It was cheesy AF and I'm not super into the white suits BUT that clip got me in the feels.

Carol and Thor's scene was cute and a welcomed LOL. Though, I am a lot more into the idea of Carol and Steve becoming bros. ;___; (After all, Thor's already bros with Val, right?)

ANOTHER thing that got me all ?! was seeing Tony and Nebula. I really like the idea of their dynamic since they do have stuff in common (lousy fathers, interest in tech) but Nebula is all sharp edges and Tony's not, hahahah.

So, yea, I'm pumped, I'm ready for more Nebula working with the rest of the team, Carol rolling her eyes at Thor or anyone who tries her patience, Steve and Nat being total pragmatists, etc.

I really liked the Nat & Clint bonding, too. He looks so broken, it got me in the feels.

I am looking forward to Nebula-Tony snark! Or any Nebula, really.

Remember, Thor is bros with Bruce Banner, too. His expansive, generous bro-heart is large enough to accommodate more than one bro. Polybromary, if you will.

V. true. I'm all for characters to be bros with a lot of ppl. My comment was more about the comics 'verse where Steve and Carol are broos in a way that will amuse me til the end of days. :P

In a way, I'd say being bros with Thor is fairly easy because he's at a point in his life that he's less petulant abt being a BRO and a tad more chill abt things.

Wasn't that standard operating procedure for superheroes in the '80s and '90s when everyone went grimdark after Watchmen? Experience Manpain(TM), change all your clothes to Edgy(TM) black, adopt a new and Xtreme(TM) alias, and shave your head or grow out a mohawk?

It might have been. I remember very few superhero movies from the 80s and 90s except for Michael Keaton's Batman. I lost interest after they cast George Clooney.
