Call for recs: Gamora! (and also new discoveries)
All right, friends, I've run out of themes, so we're switching it up. For the next while the weekly recs post will be themed around a new character each week. This week's character is Gamora, ferocious green assassin of my heart. So, please drop recs in the thread for either of the following:
1. Works focused on Gamora! Art, fic, vids, whatever you've got that you liked.
2. New works you've discovered in the past month that you haven't recced here before, whether they feature Gamora or not. Read a new Captain Marvel fic you loved? Want to rec an older vid about the cosmic MCU that you just saw for the first time? Here's the place. :D

Particle of Light by
This author is, I think, former military, or at least tends to write military characters much more realistically than most authors do (we've been in and out of a few of the same fandoms for awhile now), and this is excellent, very grounded in the Air Force world that Maria and Carol come from. I think it's the first fic I've read with them in which they really feel military to me. (Which may be a turnoff or an enticement depending on what you're into!) Great Maria POV too.

Shit Breaks by Psilent
Gamora & Rocket, 2k. “It probably won't kill me." In the pause that follows this proclamation, and in the interest of open communication between friends, she adds, "Right away." Wonderful, painful fic with h/c and Rocket and Gamora bonding over the things done to them that they never asked for.

Gamora/Nebula(/Groot, kinda??), 2k. They never had much time for the beauty of the universe when all they were supposed to be doing was crushing it. A really sweet, quiet fic about recovery and new life.

Gamora/Jane Foster, 3k. Jane and Gamora, learning to speak and learning what to say. The glorious Gamora/Jane-in-space fic I was dreaming of! Love how the author contrasts their strengths, and how what Gamora sees as a weakness in Jane at first is something else. Just really great at thinking about how these two particular people would fit together.

Gamora & Rocket, Gamora & Groot, 1k. “So, how’d you two meet?” Rocket said. “Chlorophyll convention?” Rocket & Gamora roleswap AU.
what spring is like on jupiter (and mars) by paperclipbitch
Sharon Carter/Gamora, 3.5k. Gamora is probably the least easy person to get a handle on here, and Sharon is including the sentient tree who can’t say more than three words in that assessment.
i’m the road that drives away (then follows you back home) by thinkatory
Jane Foster/Gamora, 6.5k. Jane finds a portal to the Guardians' part of space. She, Darcy, and the Guardians suddenly have to deal with the consequences, or risk leaving Earth vulnerable to any random threat who might stomp through it. But once opened, some doors aren't so easy to close, for plenty of reasons.

Jane Foster/Gamora, 3k. Jane and Gamora, learning to speak and learning what to say. Snick recced this above and I absolutely have to second it.
Self-rec:
The Liesmith Job
Gamora & Loki, 2.8k. The Guardians of the Galaxy need an extra person for the job they're about to pull off. Gamora knows just the man.
