A couple of weeks have gone by since we had a recs thread because your mod has been falling down on the job, so let's have a general theme this week: rec anything you've read/watched/seen in the last while (define that however you like :D) that you really loved. :')

I enjoyed this long, plotty time-travel alternative to the end of Civil War, If You Had This Time Again by dls. (Not me, even though those are my initials!) Tony blacks out in a Siberian bunker and wakes up at the end of the Battle of New York. It seems the Soul Stone is his fairy godmother.

I come with a load of Guardians of the Galaxy Fic recs! Hopefully, there is something new for someone!

1. Won't Go Back the Way I Came by baylop. Most people would be thrilled to have a second chance at life. With Quill calling him Dad, his old Ravager crew checking up on him, and Kraglin doing a disappearing act, Yondu ain’t most people. Yondu/Kraglin, Teen, 12,294.

This is a Yondu lives fix-it. I really enjoyed it. The emotions are spot on with Peter navigating a new relationship with Yondu, Yondu wondering why Kraglin is hiding and some extras in the form of the other Ravager clans.

2. What a loyal bastard... by PenguinGoneWild. Yondu Udonta has survived the space flight after the Ego incident. But somehow Kraglin is acting funny and Yondu gets a second chance from Starkar.

Short, but amusing!

3. So, I love Kraglin. Just the character popped up in both GoTG films and demanded my attention. Therefore, here is a Kraglin fic:
Amelioration by baylop. Kraglin is left with a reassembled arrow and not much else. The Guardians manage to help.

A lot of feels in this fic, with Kraglin + Peter and Kraglin + the Guardians following Yondu’s death which is fantastic. Teen. 5,694. Creator Chose Not to Use Archive Warnings.

4. Sticky Fingers by bullroars. peter's not a kleptomaniac, really. he just. really, really likes stuff. (or, four things peter steals and one thing he's given.)

So, this fic unexpectedly had me with emotions, for the reasons Peter steals. Worth it for the Guardian bonding! Not rated, Creator Chose Not to Use Archive Warnings, 1,920

5. The Four Times Peter Made One of the Guardians Fall A Little Bit in Love with Him by bukkunkun. (And the One Time He Learned to Love Himself). Fill for a prompt on the kinkmeme: Each of the Guardians falls just a little bit in love with Peter during various missions, flights or downtimes.

Okay, this fic is lovely and full of emotion and sees the Guardians becoming closer and appreciating each other and especially Peter. The last chapter highlights Peter’s self-worth issues and the contrast with the way he perceives himself versus how the others see him. WARNING: I can’t normally do self-harm due to personal history, however, while the last chapter has implied/self-harm and self-hatred, it is fantastic and has a happy ending. If you do go in, go prepared like I did and just take care of yourself. THERE IS A HAPPY ENDING, with Peter learning to love himself again.

OMG, these look great! I've read a couple (the second baylop fic, the bullroars fic) but not the rest. I look forward to them!
