I am snick! My username is snickfic pretty much everywhere. I loved both of the Guardians of the Galaxy movies for being the ridiculous larger-than-life space opera they are, and then I watched Ragnarok and fell completely head over heels for Thor, Loki, Heimdall, Valkyrie, and their ragtag bunch of mourning space refugees.

I write some and read a lot. I'm big into Thor+Loki gen, rarepairs (esp Heimdall/anyone and Valkyrie/anyone), and Guardians team gen. Thor: Ragnarok and post-movie fic has also persuaded me of the merits of loyalty kink, and I am a HUGE SUCKER for people swearing fealty to mourning overwhelmed determined King Thor. I would love more people to follow on DW who are also into those things!!

Welcome! I do think the cosmic end of the AU feels like a more natural setting for Comic Book Logic than Earth, at least to me. It's all Rule of Cool and space opera, and I love those. :D

Oh hey! I've been describing my interest in the MCU as "all of the characters who have been in space," so this comm is very exciting.

I adore the Guardians crew, and especially Rocket and Nebula, my emotionally damaged, closed-off, body-horror backstory faves. I have also become a big fan Thor and the entire Revengers crew thanks to Ragnarok. And Thor's friendship with Rocket was one of my top favorite things about Infinity War. RABBIT.

My other favorite thing about IW was Peter, Tony, and Strange's adventures in spaaaace. Peter and Tony are probably my top two characters in the MCU, and it turns out what I needed to start really loving Strange was him calling Tony a douche-bag. Who knew? So that whole everything was great for me.

I write a bit, read a bit, like to chat all things fandom a lot. Just making the move to DW, so definitely looking for friends here. The more the merrier, especially if you want to talk MCU!

Ohhh, I have not, but I will go seek it out this weekend! I haven't really read much GOTG fic, TBH, but I'm ready to start.

That's when my interest in the ship was piqued, too! I don't actively ship it because they don't have the canon closeness I need to really latch onto a ship, but I remain open to the idea. Shippy or not, I love the clashing egos so much.

I also really enjoyed Strange's cameo in Ragnarok. I would be so down to have him randomly pop up in lots of movies for just long enough to make a few snarky comments and send our heroes where they need to go.

The Nebula fic is here. It's flipping amazing, but also pretty intense - mind the warnings. And there's some really fun GotG fic out there! Although never as much as I'd like, because I mostly want rarepairs and team gen. >.>

I've liked Strange so much better in other people's movies than in his own movie! My hope is that Dr. Strange 2 will be better, now that we've gotten his origin story out of the way.

I agree that Strange 2 might be a lot better now that it's not an origin. I see why they felt the need to do an origin for him -- because his stuff is so different from everything else from the MCU and we as the audience needed an introduction to how it works -- but I'm excited to see what they do now that they have more room to play. His powers have the potential for some really cool plots if they do it right.

Right?! They are just so good. (And it helps that I have a soft spot for both actors because of prior work. That's not why I like the characters, but it makes me happy that they're both playing characters that really work for me.)

I'm lady_katana4544. I like all parts of the MCU, but for the cosmic side of it, I like the Guardians of the Galaxy, Thor, Dr Strange for the meta spaciness and am looking forward to Captain Marvel when that one comes out.

Hi! So happy you created this community. Thor: Ragnarok is my favourite of the MCU movies so far, and having Bruce join up with Thor, Loki and Valkyrie was a DELIGHT. Loki is my favourite MCU character and I'm a huge Loki/Tony Stark shipper; I think I've read every fanfic on AO3 featuring them together. Having said that, Pepper Potts is THE BOSS and Pepper/Tony is my favourite on-screen, canon pairing.

I also love the Thor & Loki brotherly dynamic; Valkyrie is kickass; and Tony as Peter's foster dad makes me wibble.

I love to talk meta and I read a lot of fanfic. I haven't written any fic in years (used to write in Buffy fandom) but you never know. Inspiration may strike!

Hey, everyone! I'm Caitlin, and cosmic Marvel is my lifeblood — I got here because of the MCU, although I have started to delve into this area of the comics recently, too. The Guardians of the Galaxy movies are my favorites (and while I love all of the Guardians, I particularly love Gamora, Nebula, and Peter Quill as characters), but I'm also a big fan of the whole Thor franchise, and I love Captain Marvel in the comics and am pumped to see her movie!!

(And really I love, like, all of Marvel, but the cosmic stuff is definitely my fave.)

I've been off my writing game for the past few months, but I'm looking forward to getting back into that over the holidays. I mostly write Guardians stuff (I'm an absolute sucker for Gamora/Peter and for sisters stuff with Gamora and Nebula), and I definitely have lots to say, meta-wise.

Hellooo I'm quail! I'm new to participating in MCU fandom, but all my faves (outside of my old heartblood Clint/Coulson) are spaaaaaace. Ragnarok was honestly the most fun I've had in an MCU film since GoTG, and I LOVED both GotGs SO DAMN MUCH!!! I just need more space shit with planets and drama and ridiculous space adventures.

I mainly ship Thor/Loki and Steve/Bucky (and ofc the above mentioned C/C) but I am pretty easily swayed to any other ships lmao. I know literally 0 about the comics because I'm a DC Vertigo woman through and through, and frankly I have a weird boner for Rocket which I'm hoping isn't actually that weird?????????

Welcome! Ragnarok is so great. :') If you like Rocket, there is a small but dedicated bunch of Thor/Rocket shippers, and they're good writers, so you have some quality reads ahead of you if that sounds like your jam.

Valkyrie is so great. ;_; And I really do like Thor's development and where he's at now - I had no idea Thor, reluctant overwhelmed king of a devastated people, was something I needed, but boy I am glad I have it.

Thor: Ragnarok was the movie that got me into the MCU, and I love both Guardians of the Galaxy films too--I'm a fan of ridiculous space opera, and movies that can balance humour and silliness (and not take themselves too seriously) with just enough sweet, sweet angst (and/or angsty fic possibilities).

My fave characters are Loki, Valkyrie, Nebula, Gamora, and Thor. In terms of pairings, I'm pretty multi-shippy, but I'm especially into femslash rairpairs (the last fic I wrote is one of the only Valkyrie/Nebula fics on Ao3), and Loki with basically anyone (and there is a special trashy place in my heart for some Loki/Grandmaster dubcon, which I've also written a bit of). I also love gen fics, especially fics where characters are having tough conversations, avoiding feelings, dealing with trauma (all that fun stuff), and canon divergence AUs.

I'm still pretty new to DW, so I'd love some new friends!

Even though I didn't know a single thing about them, I fell in love with the whole Guardian of the Galaxy crew, but the one who stole my heart is Groot.
I love reading (I don't have parings for MCU in space, so mostly gen and fics dealing with Loki and being raised in a culture that hates Jotnar).
