Doctor Strange 2 filming complete or will be within a few days

Lots of places reported that DS2 had just wrapped, but now many have switched to saying are wrapping this week.

I didn't even realize they'd started filming. I don't know if they've been super low key or I've been distracted. When I did a google search for an article, the top result was about comparing Shadow and Bone to Doctor Strange and not something about Doctor Strange itself. Most of the places I get Marvel news from didn't mention it.

Whoa, news to me as well! I liked the first film so I hope Dr Strange 2 is equally good. Thanks for sharing - I'm looking forward to more magical escapdes / storylines.

I hope so, too! It's a very different creative team this time, so we'll need to see how it shakes out. I was sad when Scott Derrickson left the project, but apparently him and Cargill was never involved in the script even when he was there so another DS from him was never in the cards.

I talked about the film having wrapped a few places and got the same response that they were surprised filming had even started.

I'm always nervous when a creative team changes if the original team did such an excellent job on the original film. Ah, that makes sense re Scott Derrickson and Cargill.

Considering the past year, I'm surprised Marvel _Disney isn't promoting news about it's films like DS to ensure continued interest. Relieved I'm not the only one who didn't know either though.

Yeah, not sure what is going on. Maybe they kept filming during a pandemic on the downlow. I know that some of Ben C.'s other projects were cancelled and at one point it sounded like he was planning to be home for the year.

I know of a few shows that did pandemic filming, and they were all extremely careful and did fine. Obsessive bubbling and quarantining. Must've been hard on actors, especially those with families.
