What happened to Valkyrie in Infinity War?

According to this article on CBR.com, co-director Joe Russo confirmed that Valkyrie survived the events in Infinity War. Discuss your head canon: What happened to her while everyone else was busy trying to stop Thanos from gathering the Infinity Stones? What happened to her after the "snap"? What role would you like to see Val play in Avengers 4? Which characters would you like to see her interact with?

And what about Korg and Miek? Did they make it? Were they with Val the whole time? In my head, they make up her faithful crew and they are more than happy to have Val boss them around. :)

well my head canon is that she escaped with the rest of the Asgardians, met up with Sif who has been banned from Asgard by Loki before the movie started and was therefore safe from Ragnarok and now they are having sexy lesbian adventures. the end. they together with Korg etc can be the Guardians of the Galaxy #2.

I was thinking the same thing! Korg would be Rocket only nicer, and Miek would be Groot only... squishier.

The easiest extrapolation is that she was away from the Asgardian refugee ship at the time - maybe on a supply run or something - turned back when she heard their distress call, but was too late. She finds nothing but rubble when she gets to those coordinates.

Either she finds the nearest planet with a population that's invented alcohol and goes on the mother of all drinking benders until the snap happens, which is catastrophic enough that she decides to go investigate.

Or, she starts investigating the second she sees the rubble of the refugee ship - Korg and Miek survive vacuum because they're *handwaving furiously* not made of soft organic parts, so she picks them up and they tell her what happened (aka she figures out what happened amidst Korg's rambling). She follows the energy signature of the Milano and basically spends the running time of Infinity War just a step behind everyone else.

Well, she needs to make friends with Carol, clearly! Not sure about shipping them, but it would be awfully pretty, so I wouldn't say no.

I would love to see that! The two of them could do twirls and loops in space together, Carol in her suit and Valkyrie in her spaceship.
