We're going to have non-spoilery discussion posts as well, but for today, let's talk about the new Captain Marvel trailer that came out last week! Share all your thoughts and hopes and feelings!
I am excited, even if the de-aging tech is mildly terrifying. I am a huge 80s fan, but 90s era settings rarely getting love and I am excited to see it.
Sadly, the local Blockbusters went out of business a few months because the trailer came out. I would have taken amusing pictures with it. At least our indie video rental store is still doing well.
Ha ha I am reserving judgement on the de-aging tech. I forget, is it only SLJ or is someone else getting the treatment, too?
OMG, I had no idea Blockbusters were still in business anywhere! I thought the entire chain had gone bankrupt. <3 to your indie video rental store, though. These days if something's not streaming, I get it through the library. I haven't seen a video/DVD rental place in years.
I think there is another digitally de-aged character, but I am not sure.
We've got a local place dedicated to preserving access to lots of obscure films. In more rural parts of Oregon there are video rental places due to the state of the internet out there. According to google, a Blockbuster still exists in Bend, Oregon. I should check it out next time I am going through there.
tbh, when you said 'de-aging' I interpreted that to mean making Carol younger than I assume her to be in the comics. (I see her current Captain Marvel iteration as being in her 40's or so...) But actually Sam Jackson doesn't look bad? Although I thought the same thing about Charles in Erik in X3, so I might not be a good judge.

And if you haven't seen X3, DON'T. Just... don't.

I haven't seen X3. I've pretty much stayed to the Avengers side of things in Marvel, with a few forays into things like Deadpool.
